About the event
The Art of Handling Difficult and Challenging Behavior
In organizations where interpersonal interactions are central, challenging situations may occasionally arise—situations that can be difficult to manage and may create discomfort or tension. Individuals might, for various reasons, become irritated, act out unexpectedly, or even display threatening behavior.
In many cases, such reactions are rooted in underlying frustration or dissatisfaction. They may also be linked to communication difficulties, stress, or mental health challenges. The reasons can be many and complex.
Regardless of the cause, there are educational strategies we can apply to ease tense situations and de-escalate challenging behavior. This lecture introduces the low arousal approach as a starting point, while also exploring additional communicative strategies for managing difficult situations in a professional and constructive manner.
